To the victor the spoils, so it seemed, as Pink Floyd succeeded in headlining the Knebworth 1990 fundraiser for the Nordoff Robins Music Centre and Brits School over Paul McCartney and the rest of the Silver Clef Award Winners: Genesis, Dire Straits, Status Quo, and Eric Clapton; all of whom would consider themselves as seasoned headliners at the turn of the 90s decade.

Already released on Blu-Ray, in The Later Years box set, this is the first time this performance is released on double vinyl, CD, and stream all of which smoothly confirms Floyd’s post Waters storied status all these years later.

All of the big hitters are evident in the setlist as Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Pts. 1-5) rolls out the musical red carpet of Floyd staples with original wailer, Clare Torry, doing just that on The Great Gig In The Sky and saxophonist du jour, Candy Dulfer, strapping on her sax for a blow on Shine On and Money. Sorrow, from their then most recent studio recording, A Momentary Lapse Of Reason, updates their legendary oeuvre to this period.

This slick and concise seven-song set captures Pink Floyd three years into their post-Roger Waters return and the vinyl edition is particularly worth the investment. Pristinely remixed from the original tapes by Dave Gilmour and Andy Jackson, this is most certainly one for Pink Floyd completists.
